Last week Year 8 took part in their first Art History lecture, delivered by the wonderful historian Lizzie Rowe. The topic centred on \u2018Disasters, when are they art?\u2019<\/p>\n
The pupils created their own reconstructive pieces allowing torn paper to fall on to a white space, discussing the amount of input required, or not, of an artist when creating art. Exploring artists such as Lucio Fontana, Ai Weiwei, Banksy and Cai Guo-Qiang. They certainly had lots of opinions on which pieces they liked, and those they did not.
