This Wednesday was our termly \u2018Big Think\u2019 day, giving every pupil the opportunity to take time out and purposefully concentrate on how they felt in response to a piece of music. Moving around different zones the pupils wrote poems, drew art, made 3D Fimo models, chatted or simply listened to the music. Their responses to Mahler\u2019s first symphony included a stunning poem called \u2018The Alchemist\u2019 by Theo Year 8 and comments in the chat zone from \u2018this sounds just like a soundtrack\u2019 to ‘this music tells a story even though there are no words.’<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
