Our Year 5 and 6 cricket teams visited Cothill on Saturday for their final match of the season.

U11As

An unbroken opening partnership of 138 runs saw the Under 11 As post an impressive first innings score in their allotted 20 overs. Josh and Paddy both scored their half-centuries to the applause of the spectators. Two wickets from Zayyan, four runs outs and a stumping limited Cothill to a score of 58 all out. This was an almost faultless performance from the Under 11 As.

APS 138 for 0 (Josh 56 NO & Paddy 64 NO) U11Bs

The Under 11 Bs played a pairs format and scored an impressive 163 runs (some of which were off the bat!). Charlie was particularly majestic. The bowling was tight, limiting the extras for Cothill. Noah also did a great job behind the stumps. Not only was their performance on the field of a high level, their conduct off the pitch was magnificent.

APS 163 U10As

Alex and the two Georges forged two very healthy partnerships at the beginning of the match, while Vihaan kept the scoreboard ticking over in the last few overs. Abingdon Prep posted a score of 88 runs in the allotted 20 overs. The Prep managed to bowl Cothill out in 15 of the 20 overs to win by 30 runs.

APS 88-7 (Alex 28) U10Bs

In a very tense encounter where wickets fell a plenty in the opening overs of the Prep’s innings, we managed to hold on, winning by 1 wicket. Special mention to Monty who took 2 wickets in his first game for the Bs and Arjun who also took 2 wickets and hit the winning runs.

APS 88 for 9 7 July 2021 Our Year 5 and 6 cricket teams visited Cothill on Saturday for their final match of the season.
