After a week of exams, Year 6 had a focus on teamwork and mathematical estimation as they devised strategies for estimating the number of Skittles in a jar, the height of their two teachers combined, the number of people on a Where’s Wally picture and the amount of liquid in a bottle amongst other things – and all of this without recourse to a ruler! Some of the reasoning was impressive and the accuracy of the estimates led to a closely contested battle for points which were, of course, traded for Skittles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
