{"id":13695,"date":"2018-07-04T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-07-03T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/abingdon.prod.twkmedia.eu\/prep\/2018\/07\/04\/year-8-ridgeway-walk\/"},"modified":"2019-10-30T12:08:50","modified_gmt":"2019-10-30T12:08:50","slug":"year-8-ridgeway-walk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.abingdon.org.uk\/prep\/year-8-ridgeway-walk\/","title":{"rendered":"Year 8 Ridgeway Walk"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>4 July 2018<\/h3>\n<p>The walk along the Ridgeway Path is a lovely opportunity for the boys to actually spend a few hours talking to each other without any electronic interference!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We set off from White Horse Hill and took a look at the Iron Age Hill Fort &ndash; marvelling that the earthwork defences were dug by people with no mechanical tools. We then walked for a couple of hours each way and took lunch in a small forest.<\/p>\n<p>The afternoon was finished off by an impromptu dance display by TW on top of Wayland&rsquo;s Smithy.
