Year 8 are studying architecture this term in Art. We have been exploring architectural embellishments more recently, particularly those found in Oxford as part of prominent churches, and universities.<\/p>\n

Using chalk and charcoal the boys observed from photographs noting the shapes, textures and forms of the gargoyles, their exaggerated features and how to add a range of tones to enhance their 3D qualities. Such a talented bunch!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
