On this theme, Extreme Reading came to Abingdon Prep. The aim of the competition was to promote reading and have some fun.<\/p>\n<p>Children were invited to send in a picture of themselves reading a book in an unusual location, and they certainly found some very interesting reading spots!<\/p>\n<p>Winners were revealed on World Book Day and received prizes of book tokens. We also had some special prizes for some very original entries, including &lsquo;The Highest Flyer&rsquo; and &lsquo;The Most Festive&rsquo;.&nbsp;It was a fun event and a great opportunity to share our love of reading.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>7 March 2016 You may have heard of &lsquo;Extreme Ironing&rsquo;
