The classroom came alive with the sound of drums and oriental music; a Chinese restaurant sprang up in our role play area, complete with our own hand-crafted lanterns; sculptures were made in rice; chopsticks were used to pick up items when counting, dragons were formed in red play-dough; the animals from the zodiac acted out the story in our garden; springy dragon puppets were crafted from scrap materials and Chinese numerals adorned the wall.
