The boys had practised reading and saying the sound, then worked out how to write and spell these &#39;ar&#39; related words. We checked the boys were forming the letters &#39;a&#39; and &#39;r correctly &#8211; the boys enjoyed extending their learning by being taught the correct join for the letter &#39;a&#39; to &#39;r&#39;.
