To support their work in class, the boys visited a local church in Abingdon to see what happens in a church and to learn more about the ceremonies of baptism and Holy Communion.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe boys were told all about baptism and Holy Communion and asked lots of questions about why these take place and what happens. They were also given a talk by a local historian about the colourful history of the church, which was previously a tithe barn, before completing questions on the church.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tA great morning was had by the boys and they learnt huge amounts about churches furthermore they were able to see first-hand the work covered in lessons.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>19 November 2014 Year 4 has been studying the features of a Christian church in RE.
