On a chilly Tuesday afternoon our Under 8s took part in their first competitive fixture against Oratory Prep School. Despite relatively few training sessions the boys could not be faulted for effort and commitment.
It was great to see their enthusiasm and determination to compete for every ball. The boys were clearly trying hard to work on controlling the ball and looking for a pass. At this age the match tea is something they equally look forward to. It was pleasing to see so many boys enjoying their drink and chocolate biscuit, whilst trying to keep themselves warm.
There is plenty for the boys to work on between now and their next match against Christ Church Cathedral School at the end of February.
