The climax of Abingdon Prep's musical year came with the Summer Concert, held at Abingdon School's Amey Theatre. The packed audience was treated to a superb and varied programme put together by Musical Director, Debbie Rose.
It showcased all our instrumental groups and choirs together with songs from each of the year group sections displaying a wonderfully broad depth of musical ability in our boys who performed from Year 3 to Year 8. The backbone of the concert was made of individual performances by the Year 8 music scholars, whose sheer talent dazzled and impressed the audience.
Thank you to all the staff who helped and played, the visiting music teachers in general, especially Ilya, Paul, Helen and Christine on the night and Lenka for her support in the Music Department.
An extra special thank you is due to Debbie, our Musical Director, who has been with us for four years and is now moving on. Music at Abingdon Prep has never been better, and we wish her well in her new position.
