Our U13 squad took on St Hugh's this week and played some really lovely hockey. They have improved immensely since their first fixture and both teams tried to play with shape, passing the ball round well. Lucas and Ben scored two early goals before St Hugh's replied with two of their own leaving the match finely balanced. However, some strong movement down the right from Tom set up Lucas to score his second and then a brilliant cross from Matthew enabled Lucas to complete his hat trick with a very clever first time finish. This meant that APS had won 4-2.

Our U12s enjoyed their second match of the term and after a shaky start which saw them concede a couple of goals, they created lots of good chances to score, only to be denied by an impressive opposition goalkeeper. As the game progressed, there were chances a plenty for both teams with Max defending brilliantly and keeping our goal in tact. As weariness set in, St Hugh's scored a couple more but APS finished strongly with a great shot from the top of the D from David which flashed into the bottom corner. A 1-5 loss but a very enjoyable afternoon all round.
