Abingdon Prep returned to school today for a very exciting start to the academic year with a new Headmaster, Craig Williams, who joins Abingdon Prep from Thorngrove School and some fantastic new facilities for everyone to enjoy.

Over the summer an all-weather Multi Use Sports Area for hockey, football, tennis and playtime was installed plus new cricket nets and a new play area for Pre-Prep to explore.

The academic facilities have also undergone a boost with the addition of two bright, modern classrooms for the older boys and extensive refurbishment to existing classrooms.

It’s a great welcome back for everyone with parents and visitors also benefitting from improved parking and drop off facilities.

Craig Williams greeted pupils and parents on the first day of the new academic year. He said, “It was lovely to welcome the boys into school with smiles on their faces, excited about the term ahead and chatting about the great developments around school. There’s a really vibrant atmosphere with the sound of the boys going about their lessons and activities and generally catching up on holiday news. With 52 boys joining us this term, there are lots of new faces and new friendships being formed. An exciting term ahead”.
