Bruern Abbey won the toss and put Abingdon Prep in to bat. Openers Sam and Ned got the side off to a great start with a 69 run partnership until the first wicket fell. In a flurry two wickets fell. However, Ollie and Matt accelerated the run rate in the final three overs to finish on an impressive 138 runs (20 overs).
After tea, Bruern Abbey came in to bat. Losing three wickets in the first six overs slowed their run rate in the first ten overs. To Bruern Abbey's great credit they threw the bat towards the end of the game. But with too much to do they finished on 100 runs. Finton, Luke, Thomas and Luke were the pick of the bowlers.
This performance was a huge improvement on their early season form in terms of the batting, fielding and game understanding.
