Friday afternoon saw the first APS Concert Platform of 2018 with sixteen performers from Years 3-8 taking part. Ten of the items were piano pieces spanning a wide level of difficulty from Pop Goes the Weasel to the Polonaise in A major by Chopin. The audience was treated to two uplifting jazz saxophone items, a beautiful French horn solo, and a melancholy cantabile 'cello piece. Oxfordshire's answer to Ed Sheeran was provided by Scott who sang Riptide to his own guitar accompaniment, and Josef in Year 8 played his own composition on the piano accordion which he had received for Christmas, inviting the audience to come up with a name for the piece!
