Reception set off on their very first school visit from Abingdon Prep with rain clouds on the horizon. However the excitement of a visit to Cogges Farm Museum seemed to make the clouds disappear and the sun try hard to peep through. Nothing could dampen our spirits as the children learnt how to bake bread in a hot bread oven, grind corn into flour, plant corn seeds in little pots they had made from newspaper and re-tell the story of the Little Red Hen. With a picnic lunch, an exploration of the amazing adventure playground area and time with the animals some very happy and tired little boys made their way home on the minibus.
