Year 7 travelled to Compton Verney Art Gallery in Warwickshire to explore the pattern and print work of Enid Marx. We made preparatory drawings taking inspiration from her designs, and from the unusual objects in the Folk Art exhibition, there were flying pigs, shop signage and copper weather vanes amongst many traditionally crafted items.

In the afternoon the Year 7s created templates and learnt the art of screen printing. Each student contributing to a collaborative textile hanging.

The results of their work will be displayed in the Prep School hall for viewing.
