Last Thursday we welcomed 17 year 8 students and seven sixth form students from Fitzharrys to work with sixth formers and 2nd years from Abingdon. The sixth formers had planned and delivered lessons on the sciences as part of our successful school partnerships with Fitzharrys. Topics covered included factors influencing enzyme activity in biology, current voltage resistance in physics and Quantitative Chemistry. The mentoring will take place over the course of 3 weeks culminating in some science practicals at the end of term. It was great to see such positive collaboration between schools and year groups.
