OA Club Career Networking Event 2018

On Wednesday 10 October 40 OAs and Abingdon School parents working in the fields of property, design and construction convened at BoConcept's stylish Tottenham Court Road store for the OA Club's annual Career Networking Event.

The occasion provided an opportunity for attendees to share industry insights and experiences, and indeed for OAs and parents to engage collectively as members of the Abingdon community.

With very many thanks to Michel Baumgart (OA 2010) and Mireille Baumgart (former parent) of BoConcept for providing the venue and for speaking about the current trends in interior design, and to Tom Sykes (OA 2002) for a fascinating presentation on the trends and future of architecture. Thanks also go to the caterers, The White Label, for the exceptional drinks and canapés.

If you have attended or are interested in the OA Club's networking opportunities we would love to hear your thoughts on future events of this kind. Please do take a minute to complete our online survey.

On Friday evening, OA Jack Swanborough (2012) came to give Abingdon boys an insight in to Mechatronics Engineering. Using projects from Tech Camp (where Jack works as Technical Manager), pupils learnt what it's like to work in mechatronics engineering & solve real world problems. https://t.co/WZpB8bUAsT2 hours ago
