Over 150 OAs, parents, friends of the School and staff joined the OA Club's Strawberries and Pimm's event at the FASBC tent at Henley Royal Regatta on Friday 5 July. The busiest year we've had to date, we were treated to glorious sunshine, wonderful company and plenty of Pimm's.

The event, which has been growing in popularity, featured a few familiar faces from the OA, rowing and Abingdon staff community. We were delighted to see Rory Copus (2009) who this year coxed the Leander Ladies Plate Crew, Tommy Nicholson (2015) and Jack Walsh (2015) – the creators or the 'Rowing Together for Healthy Minds' campaign and many more.

Many thanks to our wonderful catering team, the FASBC and all the guests who travelled from near and far to join us.

A number of OAs also joined the OA Club Chairman, Ken Welby (1984), for a drink on the Saturday of Henley on Lion Meadow during the afternoon tea interval.

As always, the Abingdon rowing jackets were the envy of many a rowing club and we look forward to seeing more next year.

If you were racing at Henley, be sure to let the OA Club Office know to be included in the next Griffen magazine.
