50s, 60s Dinner

Friday 10 May 2019

The next OA 50s, 60s event will be held at Salisbury Cathedral. Drinks in the Cloisters will be served from 6.30 pm followed by dinner in The Refectory. The Refectory functions in the daytime as a café, but in the evening it is transformed into a candlelit venue with the famous spire illuminated and visible through the glass roof.

Tickets are priced at £55 per person.  OAs who left Abingdon in the 1950s and 1960s who are interested in attending this event are asked to contact Alison Lester - alison.lester@abingdon.org.uk - in the first instance.

This event is proving extremely popular and tickets are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

On Friday evening, OA Jack Swanborough (2012) came to give Abingdon boys an insight in to Mechatronics Engineering. Using projects from Tech Camp (where Jack works as Technical Manager), pupils learnt what it's like to work in mechatronics engineering & solve real world problems. https://t.co/WZpB8bUAsT20 May
