Having qualified earlier in the year, 4th year pupil Nicholas Skelton competed at the British Summer Championships in Ponds Forge, Sheffield, during the summer break. Competing across six events, Nicholas qualified for the finals in the 50m, 100m, and 200m backstroke as well as the 200m Individual Medley. His strength in the backstroke saw him through to claim two silver medals in the 50m and 100m and finally a gold in the 200m, placing him at the top of his age group in the country.
