Over the summer holiday 25 boys ventured to remote regions of Madagascar while on the international biology field trip.

They spent a week in the forest helping scientists from various international and British universities to collect data about the flora and fauna. This included mist netting for new species of bird, sampling reptiles and amphibians as well as surveying lemur and plant species as part of a long term survey of forest development and deforestation.

They then traveled to the island of Nosy Be where those that were already qualified scuba divers completed a marine ecology course, surveying the reefs specifically the coral and fish species present.

Many of these boys are now qualified PADI marine ecology surveyors and have direct experience working on ecological projects that will be published in the future.
