Last Wednesday evening was the annual Lower School end of season rugby awards in the sports centre hospitality suite. The event brings a formal conclusion to the lower school 15-a-side rugby season, celebrating team and individual achievement. For many boys and families this is the end to the first term at Abingdon School after a long term full of hard work and commitment both on field and in the classroom.

Each age group coach gave a review of the season, mentioning highlights, with awards then handed out for players’ player, coaches’ player, and most improved player of the season.

Thank you to Gabriel Ogre, Will Porter (both Senior Wasps Academy players), and Eric Bullien (RFU referee) for presenting the awards and giving an excellent question and answer session to finish the event.

A huge thank you to pupils, parents and staff for their support and commitment over the term. I wish everyone a happy and wonderful Christmas.
