Last Tuesday, ten boys from Abingdon School and ten girls from SHSK spent a memorable evening at a Chinese restaurant in Oxford.
Pupils from both schools practised the language they had learnt in class and played a Chinese quiz together. Pupils were also very keen to discuss wider topics about Chinese culture, history and current affairs with their Chinese teachers.
This experience enriched these pupils’ understanding of Chinese language and culture beyond which can be achieved in a classroom.
