The Third Year Italian Evening, organised by ASPA was held on Saturday to bring together new and existing Abingdon School boys’ parents across all of the nine houses.

The evening began in the Charles Maude Room with a classic Italian aperitif Prosecco and was followed by an Italian buffet in the dining room, which had been decorated with the red, white and green colours of the Italian flag.

Sue Wallis (3rd Year Rep) welcomed parents on behalf of ASPA and also compered the Italian inspired quiz after dinner, which raised £250 for Abingdon School's Annual Fund. Prizes were awarded to the top scoring quiz team in each of the nine houses.

The feedback from the event has been fantastic, with parents saying it was fun with a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere to provide a great way to socialise with new and old friends at school.

ASPA would like to thank all the parents who attended and helped make the evening such fun. ASPA would also like to give special thanks to the following third year parents who helped set up and clear up on the night; Tracey Ball, Linda Fathers, Mark Owen, Susie and Simon Lisemore, as well as other ASPA parents Anne-Marie Nugent, Sian Walsh, Nicola Markham and the school’s catering team for all their hard work.

Thanks also to the following companies who donated prizes for the quiz; Mama Mia Restaurant, Vanilla, Bei Capelli hairdressers in Summertown, Frog Orange Oxford, Pen to Paper, Rocking Good Salt Co. and Cannelle French Beauty.
