A group of Abingdon students attended the annual Geology day at the Natural History Museum in Oxford.
The day consisted of talks on topics as diverse as “snow ball” earth, the geology of Mars and volcano risk management.
There was also a chance to go behind the scenes at the museum and look at William Smith's original geology maps and dinosaur remains that have been found in Oxfordshire.
