Ten Abingdon pupils competed for Oxfordshire at the English Schools National Cross-country Championships held at Temple Newsam House in Leeds. The boys ran valiantly in incredibly wet, windy and muddy conditions to record some impressive results at an event that showcases the pinnacle of school boy running.

Special mention must go to Will d’Arcy who was only six places away from securing an England vest, Johnny James who finished 39th and Rory Mitchell who was the 1st Intermediate Oxfordshire runner to cross the finish line.

Well done to all involved.
