The Cure Parkinson's Trust invited members from last year's 2M to their annual drinks' reception in the Music Room at Killik Management, Grosvenor Street, Mayfair.

The setting has a strong link with philanthropic donations and was a beautiful setting for a very pleasant evening. James Oldham represented the group and met Will Cook the new CEO of the charity.

Pictures of all the fundraisers this year were looping on a big screen and it was great to see so many pictures from the 12 hour-overnight walk – 20 marathon challenge the boys completed last summer.

The group had close personal links to the founding CEO of the Charity, Tim Isaacs, so it was also poignant to meet John Heelas, brother to our Director of Admissions here Jane Jorgensen, who himself has close links with the charity.

For James, his first “Drinks Party in the City” was an experience to remember and he thoroughly enjoyed the canapes, the thanks for the efforts of the whole of 2M and meeting so many advocates of the Charity who really appreciated their efforts and the money raised.

2M raised £2500 for their walk and James heard how it is being used effectively towards trials and research into new treatments with the Charity's main aim of finding a cure uppermost in their activities.
