Sixth form members of Abingdon’s CCF set out to walk, run, cycle, swim and row the 1253km from Abingdon to our sister town of Schongau, Germany, in the gym in 24 hours.
We started with the sponsored walk and, when back, completed the distance of the English Channel in the pool. Thanks to the fantastic efforts of all involved, we finished late in the evening and managed to get a good night’s sleep before school the next day.
The aim of the event was to raise £1000 for Parkinson’s UK, and thanks to the generosity of our donors we raised almost £1900 for this great cause.
Thank you to the sports centre staff for allowing us to use their facilities and once again to all those who supported us in this effort.
