Our L6th Business students visited the BMW Cowley plant last week. The level of automation on display was truly impressive as we witnessed thousands of robots working both alone in the body plant and alongside people in the final assembly plant. We also learnt some interesting tricks of the trade including how important ostrich feathers are to the final paint finish of every Mini made at Cowley.
