The boys in the Boat Club have made a promising start to the summer racing season, and continued the good form they showed in the winter racing.

The J15 A-C crew and J16 B crew raced at the BASHER regatta. This brings together the traditional top six championship rowing schools at Eton Dorney. The boys raced well through the day with each crew producing their best race in the finals of the day. The J15 As were 2nd, J15 B 1st, J15 C 3rd, J16 B 3rd.

A week later it was the turn of the 1st, 2nd and J16 A VIII at Wallingford regatta. Wallingford is used as the traditional warm up event by most schools for the National School Regatta so has a good field. The 2nd VIII raced well after some illness hiccups, 3rd in their heat and will now look to sharpen up at Bedford regatta. The J16 A continued their good progress and resisted all challenges in a bow to bow fight to the line to win the J16 A event. The 1st VIII raced boldly in the final and were able to secure victory in the J18 A boat event.

All crews will gear up now to the National Schools Regatta in three weeks.
