Following the success of the recent Ogden Trust Earth and Space training day for our local Abingdon Primary Science Partnership, the ASP was invited to deliver the same event for the Ogden Trust Partnership based at Fairford in Gloucestershire. Nine teachers from seven schools attended and were given a basic introduction to ideas about the solar system, galaxies and cosmology before spending the afternoon testing the activities in the free box of resources that partnership schools are given by the Ogden Trust. All the teachers were very enthusiastic, asking interesting questions and suggesting useful ideas for ways in which the resources would be used in their classrooms. The ASP's footprint is continuing to expand beyond the town and district of Abingdon, now reaching into Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire through association with national organisations such as the Ogden Trust and the National STEM Learning Centre.
