Abingdon School in Partnership, ASiP, welcomed sixth formers from Larkmead and Fitzharrys Schools to join 15 Abingdon sixth formers to take part in a program of academic mentoring.
The older students had met the previous week and split into groups of 4/5 from each school and planned a series of four lessons to teach key stage 3 students from each of the three schools.
Maths topics included quadratic sequences, polygons and dividing fractions, while English lessons involved developing an understanding of the process of creative writing. English and Maths teachers from each school were on hand to over see the delivery of the first lesson.
The standard of organisation, collaboration and engagement was superb. Subsequent lessons will be taking place and then a celebration session with pizza and refreshments will wrap things up on 13 December.
