Congratulations to sixth former Oscar Hitch who has won a prestigious army scholarship. Oscar succeeded despite a tough standard and a very demanding application process which concluded with a three-day selection assessment involving command tasks, interviews, written work and challenging fitness tests. Besides the financial benefits of the scholarship both for school and university, Oscar has a guaranteed place at Sandhurst after he finishes university.
Talking about the scholarship Oscar said, “I was very pleased to be selected and hope that it will lead to a career in the Parachute Regiment. I am very grateful to the School's CCF as it was through them that I discovered my passion for the army.”
