On 4 March 1914, 21 past and present members of the Boat Club posed for a photograph beside The Thames at Abingdon. Just over four years later nine of them were dead. These webpages, containing the School’s First World War archive collection, commemorates all members of the School community who served and died in the war, among them the nine who appear in this photograph – Sidney Baker, the coach, George Brown, Harry Burkett, Cyril Cook, Donald Cullen, Arthur Davenport, Alan Eason, Frank Lupton and Wilfred Williams.
