On Wednesday the 1st XV played in the last 32 of the U18 NatWest Cup Plate Competition away at St Peter's High School, Gloucester.

Traditionally a very strong rugby playing school, St Peter's lived up to the hype and put up a very passionate and physical match. The 1st XV have now had three weeks of continuity in selection compared to the first half of term and performed very well showing discipline, accuracy, and stuck together well throughout the match, which at times was testing.

The final score was 38-18 to Abingdon putting the side through to the last 16. If the 1st team win their last 16 match they go into a national redraw in the quarter final of the competition which would be a wonderful achievement for the team.

The 1st team welcome RGS Guildford this Saturday to Waste Court, kicking off at 1415.
