Dear Parent,
Welcome to ASPA - the Abingdon School Parents' Association.
The main focus of ASPA remains the organisation of social events to bring parents into the school and to give them the opportunity of getting to know each other better. We had some very successful events during the course of the last school year, including a boat trip on the Thames and an outdoor skittles evening and barbecue. We are in the process of developing a programme of events for the 2011/12 academic year and you will find details of these on the APSA events page. Whilst the main focus of ASPA is still social networking, we aim to bring a small element of fundraising into the events that we organise. Any small profit that we make from the events will be transferred into an Annual Fund and the money will be allocated within the school to the benefit of all of our boys.
We would really appreciate if you could join us with a view to becoming a Committee Member or a helper at some of the ASPA events. If you would like further information or are able to attend the meeting, please contact Wendy Lambe, Vice Chair, at aspa@abingdon.org.uk.
