Parents on site

For safeguarding reasons, please can I remind all parents that they must sign in at Park Lodge reception if they have a meeting with a member of staff. Please do not come on to the site without signing in and receiving a visitors' lanyard. The exceptions to this are if you are attending a sports fixture, or concert. I hope that you would understand why we would like the site to be as secure as possible, and as ever, if you have any queries please do contact Mark Hindley, our safeguarding lead.

Music Notices
  • Sunday 20 November at 7pm – St Helen's School – Joint Choral Society (Vivaldi and Vaughan Williams) – All parents are warmly invited to our annual choral enterprise with St Helen's School. Pupils, parents and staff will join together to present two choral masterpieces – Vivaldi's iconic Gloria and Vaughan Williams magical  “Five Mystical Songs”, under the baton of Helen Coad, the SHSK Assistant Director of Music. This is the poster for the event – tickets will be available at the door or can be purchased online.
  • Friday 25 November at 7pm – Amey Theatre, followed by Curry in the CMR – Music and Maths in Mozart's Jupiter Symphony – a Lecture Concert and Curry Evening with Anthony Kerr-Dineen and First Orchestra. It is not too late to join us for this event. Those wishing to stay for the social element – the post lecture curry – will need to book tickets online. For those wishing to attend only the lecture Concert, there is no charge, thanks to the support of the Music Society (ASMS).  First Orchestra has had fun meeting the considerable challenge of Mozart's Jupiter Symphony – it should be both a fascinating and convivial evening – do join us!
  • Advance information for the Christmas Concerts on 7 and 9 December at 7pm, Amey Theatre – Please book tickets online and be aware that the Friday concert is now selling out and that the two concert programmes are identical. The following groups are involved – First, Second, Chamber Orchestras, Brass, Big, Symphonic Wind Bands, Gospel and First Year Choirs.
Parents' Carol Service

All parents and boys are warmly invited to the carol service at St Michael's Church, Park Road on Thursday 15 December at 6.30pm.  The service will be a shortened form of the traditional lessons and carols from King's College, Cambridge.  The boarding community will be in attendance and the outstanding Chapel Choir will perform.  Do join us for this delightful and inspiring occasion.

Lower School and 3rd Year– Pre-Season Football Training Day

All Lower School and 3rd year pupils considering playing football next term are warmly invited to attend a pre-season training day on Saturday 7 January 2017.  Following a morning of training with guest coaches from Oxford United, boys will travel to the Kassam Stadium to watch Oxford United vs Bolton FC. As the final selection of the 2017 Football squads will not take place until the start of the Lent Term, any players considering selecting Football as their core-sport are warmly invited to attend.

Parking on Larkhill Road

Please could we ask boys driving in to school, and parents attending events, to be sensitive about parking on Larkhill Road. The residents have asked us to remind you that there are white lines to prevent the junction becoming congested, and we would be appreciative if these could be observed.
