U13 Cricketers into National Semi Final

18 June 2010

The U13's played and won the quarter finals of the National Cup against RGS Worcester in Worcester.

We lost the toss and were asked to bowl in a 35 over match. After a rain interrupted 1st innings, we bowled them out for 71. At the rain break the opposition were at 61 for 5 off 22 overs, but a superb effort in the field restricted runs and put them under pressure. We went out to bat and knocked off the runs, losing just one wicket, passing their total in the 11th over.

This means that we have won the Central and Midlands Final and puts us through to the last 4, where we meet Manchester Grammar School (Northern winners) in a home tie for a place in the National Final.
