At the heart of Abingdon’s philosophy is the desire to inspire achievement through challenge and opportunity; each boy is encouraged to make the most of their talent and to give something back.
And, we know that they do. Even a quick glance through our alumni will reveal a wide diversity of talent that is making a real and successful contribution to society in innumerable ways.
Our challenge is to continue to provide that opportunity in a world where the pace of change is constantly accelerating. This requires vision and ambition.
We are extremely proud of our wonderful teaching staff whose enthusiasm, knowledge and expertise has supported that vision and ambition. We have also been very fortunate that parents, Old Abingdonians and others, especially The Mercers’ Company, have been remarkably generous in helping us provide the facilities that support outstanding teaching and learning.
Our ambition now is to ensure that Abingdon can continue to evolve to meet the needs and aspirations of current and future generations.
