This evening a small private view was held to celebrate the display of six bold pieces of graphic design in the Sports Centre main atrium corridor. Each artist chose a motivational word and developed abstract and sporting imagery to convey the meaning in an exciting and contemporary way. The six pieces of mixed media artwork, created in 3rd year art lessons, were chosen as the most eye-catching out of 90 designs. The reception was attended by the boys, their parents and Miss Lusk.
Mrs O’Doherty, the boys’ art teacher, commented on her delight in seeing the work on display in such a prominent space – just reward for the boys' creativity and hard work.
