Scholarships and awards are given for exceptional academic, musical, artistic, dramatic or sporting achievement and potential. The majority of scholarships are offered to boys at age 13+ but other awards are made on entry at 11+ and to the Sixth Form. All such awards entitle the holder to a nominal fee remission of £300 per annum to which a means-tested bursary may be added of up to 100%.
At least 20 major scholarships are awarded each year and are open to both external and internal candidates. Pupils can hold more than one scholarship or award. All music, art and design, drama and sports scholarship candidates must also meet the appropriate academic entry criteria.

Deadline for entry for all 2012 scholarships apart from Art and Design is 14 December 2011.
The Art and Design scholarship deadline is 31 January 2012.
