8R had a day touring the sights of Oxford. We started off at the Natural History and Pitt Rivers Museums before seeing the Bridge of Sighs, Bodleian Library, Sheldonian Theatre and Radcliffe Camera. Each boy was responsible for directing us to a specific place – we didn't always end up taking the most direct route! After lunch we visited the Museum of the History of Science and had milkshakes in the Covered Market to finish at Christchurch Meadow. These were the boys' best bits (apart from the milkshakes!):

  • The live bees in the Natural History Museum
  • The tattooing and Native American section of the Pitt Rivers
  • Short and long bows and astrospheres in the History of Science Museum
  • The inscription on the Martyrs Memorial
  • The medical instruments in the Pitt Rivers
  • The lodestone in the History of Science Museum
