ENGLISH
Y6 snow day work.
Read the letters sent by Tommo and Charlie to Mother and Molly. Imagine you are Tommo or Charlie, write a letter to either Molly or Mother telling them how you are getting on. Use ideas from the book, e.g the estaminet, friends from the village, worries, dangers, discomforts, even injuries. What do you think the soldiers did most of the time that they were at the front? Don't forget, you don't want to unduly worry M or M, but try to give them some idea about your time at war.
MATHS
SET1
Boys to complete tests 2 and 3 in times tables problem book
SET2
Using your knowledge of multiplying 2- and 3-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers, work out the answers to the following five questions using the written method we have used in class this week: 234x6; 512x7; 88x8; 91x4; 123x7
Once you have completed them, write a word problem for each question (using the appropriate numbers). E.g for 234x6 you could say "Graham gets £2.34 each in week in pocket money. How much will he have saved after 6 weeks?"
If you still wish to do more investigating, try working out what happens when you multiply by 2-digits using the method we have used this week. E.g. 32x12 or 23x23

Write a mini diary: tell me what you eat for your meals during the day and what you wear (with colours). Tell me some of the activities you like doing in your holidays. Describe someone who comes to stay or play with you.
PERFORMING ARTS
Create a Graphic Score composition. Go to www.opuscopus.com/resources and print a Graphic Score template together with Graphic Score cut out symbols. Using household objects, create your own percussion instruments/sounds, e.g. door open/close; pan and wooden spoon; pencils lightly tapped on tables; jar of rice shaken. Use your imaginations! Some of you may wish to also create your own symbols. Have fun and don't break anything or damage your home!
If you learn an instrument, you could fit in some extra practice.
