On Wednesday Year 5 went on a trip to PGL, Liddington. It was obvious when we got there that the boys were very excited for not only were we enjoying the activities on the first day, but also celebrating George’s birthday with copious amounts of cake and cookies!

We were put into dorms with four boys in each of them. Then we were also put into activity groups that allowed us to work with boys in the other form group. The entire three days were action packed and very enjoyable. Over the course of the three days we did many different activities, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. Here is a list of all the things we did: archery, trapeze, big swing, abseiling, climbing, sensory trail, challenge course and zip wire. In the evening Nicky and Jamie played some games with us to finish off the day. It was then back to our rooms for a “quiet” night of sleep.

The weather had its ups and downs. The first day was warm and gave a foretaste of the beautiful summer to come. The next day was wet and miserable but the boys still thoroughly enjoyed the activities. The last day was as good as the first and allowed for an excellent end to our experience.

The meals were delicious! One of the best meals which most of the boys loved (and hope comes to APS) was “Burger Day”!

We must give great credit to our PGL leader, Nicky, and to all our teachers who joined the boys on the trip. We all arrived back this afternoon and settled down to watch a movie. We were very, very tired!
