In beautiful autumnal sunshine, our Year 4s played Pinewood at A, B and C team level. The Abingdon Prep U9 As got off to a great start and scored four unanswered tries. Although Pinewood came back in the second half the As finished worthy winners by nine tries to three. They attacked with great pace and width, exhibiting good organisation in defence. The As remain undefeated this season. Both our Bs and Cs were involved in closely contested matches but suffered narrow defeats. Both teams need to ensure that they retain possession better and defend with more resilience.
The Year 4s have made significant progress in terms of their maturity and application to sport during the term and have all been a pleasure to teach. Onwards and Upwards!
