Year 4 CDT

4cdt (2)

04 July 2011

Simple series circuits are introduced in Year 4 and boys enjoy lighting up various scenes.  The most popular project seems to be the 'spinning alien' where a circuit is used to rotate an alien head at great speed. There have been some interesting three headed aliens visiting the Prep School in the past! Boys develop their wood work skills and build a model footbridge based on the ideas of safety, structure and aesthetic look of the school footbridge.
The boys continue to produce some exciting textile work. Designer fabric bags have proved very popular. The boys make a simple soft toy joining two pieces of fabric together and this year some very endearing turtles were seen ‘swimming’ on display in the school’s front entrance!
