On Sunday, despite the weather, several of our pupils competed at The British Schools' Modern Biathlon Championships held at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.

Although the run did not go ahead due to the track conditions, Pentathlon GB based the results on the athletes swim time combined with the qualifying run time.

In the Under 12s Quinn came 1st place in the 800m run (2:25.00), 4th place in the Individual Overall (swim and run combined) and 4th place in the team competition along with Freddie, Jack and Monty. Both Freddie (38.81) and Jack (37.53) set new PBs in the 50m LC Freestyle.

Competing in the Under 10 category, Sam finished in 26th place with a 50m LC swim time of 43.49. While in the Under 13 category, Christopher set a new PB in the LC 100m Freestyle of 1:05.98 and finished in 19th place overall.

The APS team showed great team spirit under extremely testing conditions and can be highly commended for their efforts!
